Barbara
Meachin was an editor, trainer, writer and communication consultant
for 30 years before opening Meachin Communications LLC. She has assisted
numerous management consultants and industry executives, at all
levels, to strengthen their logical thinking skills and present
themselves effectively.
Before establishing Meachin Communications LLC, Ms. Meachin served as
Director of Client Communications at A.T. Kearney, Inc. in New York.
From 1995 to 2003, she developed and led highly rated training courses
for consultants in North America and Asia, and coached both
consultants and client executives to improve their writing and
presentation skills. She received the firm’s Intellectual Capital
Award for contributing to the Financial Institutions Group’s thought
leadership journal.
Throughout the 1980s, she developed and led training programs for
communication skills consultancies in New York.
From 1973 to 1979, Ms. Meachin worked as an editor with management
consulting firms on three continents: in London, with
telecommunications consultancy Communications Studies & Planning Ltd;
in New York, with McKinsey & Co.; and in Tokyo with Fuji National City
Consulting.
She holds a BA in History from Vanderbilt University and a Certificate
from the Radcliffe Publishing Procedures Course.
